How WTH works
Editorial & advertising policy
What The Hang? helps people discover places, activities, events and experiences, then save, organize and share their plans. To keep those recommendations useful, we separate independent editorial choices from paid promotion.
Independent editorial picks
WTH Picks and WTH-created editorial Hanglists are chosen on editorial grounds, including local relevance, usefulness, quality of available information and the experience they offer. We don't accept payment in exchange for inclusion, a positive recommendation or a position in these lists.
Standard listings and search
Businesses don't have to advertise to be eligible for a standard listing or an organic search result. Organic ranking is governed by the product's relevance and eligibility rules, not sponsorship status. Being listed does not mean that WTH endorses or has independently reviewed a business.
Paid advertising
We may offer paid placements in eligible Discover and Search surfaces and seasonal promotions. Paid placements are visibly identified as "Sponsored", "Ad" or "Paid partnership". They are separate from editorial recommendations and do not purchase higher organic rankings, WTH Pick status or a place in editorial Hanglists.
Creators and local publishers
People may find inspiration through local creators, publishers, businesses, social platforms or directly on WTH. We aim to acknowledge sources where appropriate. A mention or ordinary source link is not automatically a paid partnership. Any commercial arrangement that influences a placement must be disclosed.
Accuracy and corrections
Details such as schedules, prices, admission and availability can change. Check official sources before visiting. If a listing is incorrect, out of date or should be reviewed, please contact WTH. A paid campaign does not override correction or removal review.
